Salman Khan was
in Jodhpur, yesterday, in relation to his 18-year-old Arms Act case.The
court had summoned him while hearing an appeal by the state government challenging
his acquittal by the trial court in the case.
Salman, who was
charged for illegally possessing and using weapons to kill three Chinkaras in a
village close to Jodhpur, made an appearance at the court yesterday. The
superstar spent 5 minutes in the court.

He then produced and signed a bail bond of Rs. 20,000. "It is a routine procedure of the court and every accused is required to appear before the appellate court once. We have also followed the procedure," Mr Khan's advocate Hastimal Saraswat told the media. The next hearing is scheduled to happen on October 5.
The matter was heard by the court on April 21 when the court directed Salman to file a bail bond. He was also asked to appear on July 6. However, the superstar failed to appear before the court due to the security reasons.
Salman Khan Signed A Bail Bond Of Rs 20,000
The police had
filed the case against Khan in October 1998 for possessing and using unlicensed
.22 rifle and .32 US-made revolver and using them for allegedly killing three Chinkaras in Jodhpur’s Kankani village earlier that year. He was shooting for
Sooraj Barjatya’s Hum Saath Saath Hain.
The Rajasthan
High Court in July last year acquitted him in the case related to the poaching
of a blackbuck and three Chinkaras. However, the case related to possession of weapons with an expired license is still under trial.
Salman Khan Leaves The Court After Fulfilling The Formalities
On the
professional front, as of now the Salman Khan is busy shooting for Tiger Zinda
Hai- the second instalment of Ek Tha Tiger, which also stars Katrina Kaif. The
team just finished shooting the fourth schedule of the film in Morocco and will
soon start the fifth and last lap of the shoot in Abu Dhabi.
